Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD;”
The Bible teaches that there is only one God. God is a Spirit and invisible. For the purpose of redemption and atonement, this one God of the Bible manifested Himself in the flesh in the man Christ Jesus through the virgin birth. He came to reconcile lost humanity to Himself and to purchase the church with His blood.

Mark 16:15-16 “And he said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” and must be born again. The Bible teaches that salvation can only be experienced through belief and obedience to the gospel. This is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Luke 13:3,5 “I tell you, Nay but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
Repentance is the first step in the gospel experience. It is a crucifying of self: our will and our carnal nature. It is a godly sorrow that leads us to confess and forsake sin. It leads to a desire to live a life free of sin.

Romans 6:4 “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism unto death:”
Jesus taught the necessity of being born again of water and of spirit. He commissioned His disciples to baptize in Jesus’ name for the remission of sins. Water baptism is the New Testament means by which we put off the body of sins of the flesh and enter a covenant with God through belief in the blood of Jesus Christ.

John 3: 6-7 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.”
The Bible teaches that we are not His without the resurrection power of Christ’s Spirit, the Holy Ghost. No man can say Jesus is Lord but by the Holy Ghost. When we are baptized with the Holy Ghost, we “have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” This is evidenced by speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit gives the utterance.
